April Team Member Spotlight

At Artisans’ Bank, what makes a great team member isn’t just what they do—it’s how they show up for others. This next spotlight shines on a teammate whose journey, humility, and commitment to growth have made a meaningful impact on customers and colleagues across many branches: meet Austin.
From Teller to Trusted Voice
Austin began his journey at Artisans’ in the summer of 2022 as a part-time teller. Since then, his path has been anything but stagnant. What began as an entry-level position before starting college soon evolved into something more.
After exploring college, Austin moved into a full-time branch banker role, and then into relationship banking, where he serves today. A key leader in the branch—his role includes training new employees, supporting daily operations, and acting as a go-to resource for both staff and customers.
Ask him about it, however, and he’ll downplay the trajectory.
“I just try my best to continuously learn and do more—and help others grow with me.”
That mindset—growth paired with generosity—is exactly what has fueled his success.
Driven by Progress
When asked what keeps him motivated, he provided an answer that, like him, is relatable. While financial stability does play a role in his drive, there is much more to it than that. For him, true motivation comes from the desire for progress and personal growth. He is passionate about embracing new challenges and striving to achieve his goals, both professionally and personally.
This focus on continuous improvement fuels his ambitions and shapes his journey.
“Just knowing there’s always a next step… and striving to achieve that.”
Building Relationships That Matter… TOGETHER
In our Midway branch, the customer experience isn’t transactional; it’s personal. Conversations go beyond accounts and balances. There’s laughter, familiarity, and a sense that walking into the bank feels less like an errand and more like a visit.
“We try to make it a fun experience… not something that feels like a chore.”
Amongst the Midway team, Austin is recognized for fostering a positive and lighthearted atmosphere that significantly contributes to the overall morale and productivity of his colleagues throughout the workday.
Whether it’s making customers laugh, lightening serious moments, or simply being approachable, he understands that culture is built in everyday interactions.
“I try to make people feel welcome—and bring the energy up.”
This strategy goes beyond merely enhancing service; it cultivates loyalty, fosters trust, and strengthens our customers’ and team members’ sense of community.
A Leader in the Making
As the branch trainer, he puts others first, often balancing his own tasks while also ensuring his teammates feel confident, supported, and prepared for success.
“If people need help, I try to step aside and make sure they’re good before I focus on my own stuff.”
It’s a small statement that reflects a big truth: leadership isn’t always about titles.
