YOU ARE POTENTIALLY BEING SCAMMED!
It was not Artisans' Bank or one of our Team Members!
If you ever receive a suspicious request, contact us IMMEDIATELY. Below, we have outlined some scenarios that you may encounter, how to recognize fraudulent attempts to access your information, and what you can do to resolve the situation:
Scenario 1 - Unsolicited Phone Calls
You receive a call claiming to be from Artisans' Bank
They are asking you to confirm your account number, password, or Social Security number.
The caller may try to create a sense of urgency or threaten account closure if you do not comply.
How to resolve?
Do NOT give out any personal or account information. Hang up the call and call your local branch - this is a way to verify if the call is legitimate or false. At this point if it is a scam, please let the branch know that scam calls are being conducted.
Scenario 2 - Phishing Emails
You receive an email that appears to be from Artisans' Bank.
The sender is urging you to click a link to verify your account details or reset your password.
These emails often contain urgent language and links to fraudulent websites.
How to resolve?
Do NOT click the link, report the email as phishing and delete it from your inbox!
Scenario 3 - Text Message Alerts
You get a text message stating there is suspicious activity on your account.
The text is asking you to reply with your account credentials or click on a link to resolve the issue.
Artisans' Bank WILL NEVER ask for your account credentials or to click on a link to resolve account credential issues.
How to resolve?
Do NOT click any link or send any information. Block the sender and delete the text from your phone.
Scenario 4 - Requesting Payments Via Zelle or Gift Cards
Someone contacts you claiming to be from the bank
They request payment or transfer of funds using ZELLE, gift cards, or other non-traditional methods.
An Artisans' Bank Team Member will NEVER contact you and request payment or transfer of funds from your account.
How to resolve?
- If you were called, do NOT transfer any funds, give out any personal or provide any account information. Hang up the call and contact your local branch.
- Do NOT click the link if one was texted to you.
Scenario 5 - Fake Website Pop-Ups
While browsing online, a pop-up window appears mimicking Artisans' Bank branding. It asks you to enter your login information.
Artisans' Bank does not advertise with pop-up windows, and we especially do not ask for login information. This could expose your computer to malware or other fraudulent activity.
How to resolve?
- Do NOT enter your login information and exit the pop-up window and the browser.
