Earn Points

Once you have enrolled you will begin earning points when you use your enrolled Visa card for qualifying purchases, which include:
-- Purchases you sign for
-- Internet purchases
-- Phone and mail order purchases
-- Bill payments

Points Earned Per Dollar

You will earn 1 point per $1 spent on qualifying purchases, and your earn rate may increase as you continue to use your enrolled Visa card for qualifying purchases. If you reach $4,000 in purchases during the first 12 months of enrollment, your rate will increase to 2 points per $1 in purchases.

Plus, at some online stores you'll also earn a one-time bonus of additional points when you sign up for ongoing online services. Details about earning points are found in your Visa card issuer's Visa Extras Terms & Conditions, which are presented to you before you complete enrollment. In order to view your issuer's Terms & Conditions, submit your Visa card number on the Enrollment page* . Then click "Terms & Conditions" at the bottom of the page.

Managing Your Points

Earn points with Visa business cards or personal cards. Your points are good until the end of the 36th month from the month in which they're posted to your Visa Extras account. Details about earning points, how long your points are good, and any applicable fees are found in your Visa card issuer's Visa Extras Terms & Conditions, which are presented to you before you complete enrollment.

Once enrollment is completed you will start earning points for the qualifying purchases made with your enrolled Visa business or personal card based on the actual purchase amount, including tax.

Any returns, credits, or chargebacks earn negative points and such negative points will reduce the total points accrued to the Visa Extras account. To see these Terms & Conditions, enter your card number in the Enroll Now/Check Eligibility area, in the upper left of most pages, or, if you are already enrolled, simply click on the Terms & Conditions link in the footer of any page once you are logged in to the site.

If at any time an enrolled Visa card account is not in good standing, qualifying purchases made while the card account is not in good standing will not accrue any points.

Certain exclusions apply.

If you're making a qualifying purchase with your enrolled Visa card in person, remember, to earn points you have to sign for your purchase. Your unused points expire at the end of the 36th month from the month in which they are posted to your Visa Extras account. Enrollment or other bonus points do not count towards the $4,000 threshold for increasing the rate of reward to 2 points per $1 of qualified purchases. Each year on the anniversary of your enrollment, a new 12 months period begins for the $4,000 threshold.

The types of Visa card transactions that will earn points, as well as the points earned per dollar spent may vary depending on the financial institution that issued your Visa card. You should review your card issuer's Visa Extras Terms & Conditions, prior to completing enrollment, for the applicable description of qualifying purchases and rates at which you will earn points. To see these Visa Extras Terms & Conditions, enter your Visa card number in the "Enroll Now/Check Eligibility" area and click Enroll. The Visa Extras Terms & Conditions are then viewable by clicking on Terms & Conditions at the bottom of the Enrollment page. They are also available by clicking on the Terms & Conditions link at the bottom of any page of the website once you are enrolled in the program and logged-in.
